VERYYY VERYYY UNPROFESSIONALLL !!!! Never opened on time that business hours say they are. I advised owner I didn’t want to use my points but he uses them any way “told me not to return back to the store” RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL !! I would gladly take my business elsewhere. It seems as they are forgetting, the customers is what’s keeping your business open and able to purchase your inventory for this place.

Unfortunately what was once our go to hair store is no more. Today I allowed my daughter and her best friend go alone to the hair store to grab some things. Fake nails, garnier fructis oil cause my daughter just got her hair done at the shop yesterday and gets her hair done every month sometimes twice a month if we have something going on or a style just doesn’t last as long as we or her stylist thought it would. So we drop plenty of bags here as customers.
Today the owner of the store asked my baby to leave because she was asking him to add up the items she wanted because I advised her before leaving home to be wise with her money. She had a little over $200 and has on countless occasions bought $12 key chains out of this store lol which is crazy because she can never find her keys lol so I stressed I wanted her to spend wisely/smart. Get what you need then want and cross check the prices. (I probably should’ve given better direction here ? she was cross checking alright ? ) but I said Just save some money for lunch or another store you guys may wanna go to.
When she face timed me about the incident I immediately called the owner and he explained exactly what my daughter relayed to me. That he didn’t want to add up the things for her to budget. He stated and quote “we don’t do that here”.
Their store their rules this I understand. Yet as a good person, a mother, and business owner myself I would’ve directed someone’s child differently as every paying customer is different. I would have simply stated “baby girl the prices are on the items just add it up with your phone and when your done come to me I can add the tax percentage to what you have in your phone if you need a better accurate amount so you can know about how much it will come up to”.
Safe to say his child would have been assisted with 30 seconds of care and direction and it would’ve eliminated me ringing up everything for a price if in fact this went against “what we do here” and someone’s growing child would have still been able to get the service she deserved while experiencing budgeting skills and simple care.
It takes a Village she was learning a life lesson and because of the owners lack of care kindness and patience my minor was met with attitude and frustrations that I don’t even display towards her and I’m her mom. Needless to say we will not be back.
My daughter was respectful and kind during the rude encounter she faced for simply trying to do what I asked of her (responsibility) while also getting the things she wanted from a store she liked. She knows in this life people fall short often and are usually 99% the blocker of their blessings.

To put out a non violent or controversial buyer because they asked too many pricing questions is sadly mediocre customer service rule 101. Without patience annd the anbikity to answer product questions and pricing concerns shows entitled behavior as if singular purchasers mean nothing. This says a lot about the character of the owner and the business.
The child was the adult today in this situation. We can all learn from children at times. So without regret my funds can no longer be spent here.

From previous shopping experiences here *there were signs of owners characteristic traits
1) whenever I witnessed the owner in the store while I shopped he is ALWAYS sitting down on his phone behind the counter. This must be his chair as no other employee has sat there the many times I’ve come.
2)He is Obese. Obesity causes exhaustion, fatigue, high blood pressure, mood swings. (Explains his inability to be patient)
3)His white Mercedes is ALWAYS in the first parking spot closest to the entry of the hair store. (Smart owners leave front spots for paying customers. Not that good of an area but he has store cameras in the back and could watch his car if need be.
never expect a genuine act of kindness from owner his actions were poor and too childish for someone his size. Be careful how treat people. You may be entertaining anAngel. Or a Voodoo priestess. ‍♀️

shake n go used to be the spot to go not only hair but a great and friendly environment up until recently Management would rather lose business instead of training their staff to do their jobs without starting drama with existing clients prior to the hiring process should have some sort of respect requirement which currently it lacks I was trying to resolve the issue no matter where it stems from an adult conversation needed to be had that is why i was trying to respectfully reach out without the going back and forth between two children i never said anything to the other child but definitely corrected mine but i was to get across the point even if you have issues with someone remain Professional at all times

I go there all and I don’t have ANY issues with the store, NEVER been spoken to rudely, and I ALWAYS get someone willing to help me. I have a reading disorder/ be coming in there looking a hot mess. So having nice people around willing to help make my day every time.

I have never felt so humiliated and upset when a manager asked me to leave his empty store because I have 4 children with me and my mom. I will not return to the store for sure even if it is the only store in Lakeland. Very degrading experience, unappreciative business atmosphere. Never again will I go there.
